I'm a twenty-something guy living in Los Angeles and working as a software engineer. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002, after which I moved to Research Triangle Park to go work for IBM. While at IBM I worked on the WebSphere Application Server Performance team doing development on Tivoli Performance Viewer/Advisor. After doing that for three years the opportunity arose to go work at Xanga.com, which appealed to me because I was already a user (a Xangan), I'm personally interested in social-software, and I wanted the experience of working on a site used by millions of people every day.
While working at Xanga I met an amazing woman who is now my wife. Marriage prompted a move to California where I spent six months working at Latham & Watkins, LLP, before taking a job at Google in the Santa Monica office. At Google I work on AdWords and in my 20% time I'm rewriting Project C.A.R.E. to run on Google infrastructure.
Outside of work, I enjoy listening to and making music with my wife, weight lifting, motorcycle riding, and coding for fun. However, my real interest is my family - I find great joy in being a husband and father.
